The Consulting Team, Inc. (CTI) is a non-profit consultancy service group whose mission is to deliver consultancy services appropriate to the needs of serving marginalized groups in a manner that ensures their participation in the totality of development work and upholds the highest level of professional competence consistent with effective delivery of services to the marginalized.  This mission is guided by CTI’s vision of a community of institutions and people’s organizations that makes the development needs of the marginalized its central concern.

CTI started its operations in 1991 — then carrying the name Consultancy Program Philippines — and was formally organized and registered in 1995 as CTI.  From 1991 till 1999, it performed services for Bread for the World (BftW), a protestant funding agency based in Germany, where all activities and administrative budget were financed by BftW.  In 2000, it shifted to a different form of financing, which is, service-based.  However, CTI maintains its character as non-stock, non-profit organization.
